2,800 days ago I announced the publication and availability of my book, A Beginner’s Guide to Developing Documentum Desktop Applications (ISBN 0-595-33968-9). On this 7 year, 7 month, 29 day anniversary, I am posting full access to the book here.

400 weeks ago when I released the book for publication, Documentum 5.2.5 was the current version of Documentum (Actually, when I started writing the book, 4i was the current version, thus the emphasis on the Desktop Client.) and Verity was the current search engine.  Although a lot has changed since then, a lot has remained the same. For example, DQL, DFC, and ECM theory. Thus, I believe this book still has value, so check it out for yourself and have a fun walk down memory lane remembering the Desktop Client, COM objects, the Verity search engine, and VB.

About Scott
I have been implementing Documentum solutions since 1997. In 2005, I published a book about developing Documentum solutions for the Documentum Desktop Client (ISBN 0595339689). In 2010, I began this blog as a record of interesting and (hopefully) helpful bits of information related to Documentum, and as a creative outlet.
