About Scott
I have been implementing Documentum solutions since 1997. In 2005, I published a book about developing Documentum solutions for the Documentum Desktop Client (ISBN 0595339689). In 2010, I began this blog as a record of interesting and (hopefully) helpful bits of information related to Documentum, and as a creative outlet.

Don’t forget getLoginTicketEx(). This is invaluable if you have a multi server environment as the ability to specify the scope is quite often required.

Thanks, Andy, you make a good point. I didn’t happen to use this method in my testing but it is also very important and handy. It ties in nicely with need to distribute the login ticket key.

Only one little thing: dm_server_config.max_login_ticket_timeout default is 43200 minutes, that is 30 days (not 12).
