TBOs – Part 5

This post was supposed to be an explanation of how to create and deploy TBOs using Composer.  However, as I began to develop it, I discovered a terrific article on EDN by Robert Ly that explains the process in far greater depth and detail than I had planned to do.  So, I will simply refer you to his article, Developing BOF Applications with Composer Tutorial, for learning the ins and outs of developing and deploying TBOs using Composer.

David Louie has posted an EDN article summarizing a bunch of tips, tricks, and best practices here:  Tips, Tricks and Best Practices for BOF Development. Certainly worth reviewing.  There is also an old Component Exchange posting with some BOF best practices:  Business Objects – Hints, Tips and Best Practices.  It’s a bit dated but worth a quick review.

Finally, there is also a pretty good introductory video to BOF on the EDN:  Introduction to BOF with Vinod Kumar.

In the next post I’ll give you the list of all of the override-able methods in the DFC.

About Scott
I have been implementing Documentum solutions since 1997. In 2005, I published a book about developing Documentum solutions for the Documentum Desktop Client (ISBN 0595339689). In 2010, I began this blog as a record of interesting and (hopefully) helpful bits of information related to Documentum, and as a creative outlet.
